This bachelor thesis presents an interactive web application for exploring the human visual pathway—from retina to visual cortex—and how lesions at different stages manifest as characteristic visual field defects.
The app provides a clean, didactic view where users can toggle pathway structures, step through lesion scenarios, and immediately see the predicted visual field loss. It’s designed as a teaching tool for students and a quick reference for practitioners.
Implementation-wise, the focus is on clarity and responsiveness in the browser. The project bundles anatomical mapping with an intuitive UI so concepts are learned visually rather than through static diagrams.
