Overview

BeatVis is a browser-based real-time music visualizer I built to make audio feel spatial and explorable without installing desktop software. Many visualizers either stay locked to a single aesthetic or bury controls behind complex setups—BeatVis aims for an immediate, fullscreen experience with several distinct visual languages.

The app analyzes incoming audio in the browser and maps features such as amplitude and frequency content to graphics. Visualization modes include 2D circles, 3D waves, constellation-style layouts, and terrain-like landscapes, with presets (All2D, Circle, 3D, Wave, Constellation, Terrain) and global controls for switching looks during playback.

It is aimed at live listening, creative experimentation, and casual performance contexts—anyone who wants to see their music react in real time. The live site is at beatvis.com.
